BIKETOUR:...By ferry, from Amsterdam Centraal Station, to the famous and worth seeing NDSM Kultur shipyard, in its hip neighbourhood. 

From here we travel to and through the beautiful nature reserve Het Twiske

until, after about 2.5 hours, we reach the museum village of Zaanse Schans.

You can look around at your own and/ or have a drink and a bite to eat.

We return to Amsterdam at the agreed time.

This tour is specially designed to meet the needs of our older fellow human beings and people with disabilities. 

We take it easy on our city tour together and can take a break in between. 

We discuss the best route on site, depending on whether our participants have wheelchairs, walking frames or other walking aids. 

We are flexible and there are many alternative routes.

TULIPS IN SPRINGTIME

BUSTRIP KEUKENHOF
March 20th-May 11th 2025

The history of Keukenhof dates back to the 15th century. Countess Jacoba of Bavaria (1401-1436) used 'Keukenduyn' (kitchen dunes) as a hunting ground for the kitchen of Teylingen Castle. Keukenhof Castle was built in 1641 and the estate grew to an area of over 200 hectares. 

In 1857, the landscape architects Jan David Zocher and his son Louis Paul Zocher, who later also designed the Vondelpark, designed the garden ( English landscape style ) around the castle.
